  • 2 elective units must be selected from Group A
  • 2 elective units must be selected from Group B
  • for the remaining 4 elective units:
  • up to 4 units may be selected from Groups A and B
  • if not listed, up to 2 units may be selected from a Certificate IV from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course
  • if not listed, up to 4 units may be selected from a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Delivery Details

Training is delivered through a combination of personalised one-on-one sessions and online learning, with ongoing support from trainers via AITT's online portal.

Assessment Methods:

  • Written workbook assessments (completed in class or as homework)
  • Projects and case studies (completed in class or as homework)
  • Skills workbook assessments in a vocational setting

Assessment includes:

  • Written knowledge assessments
  • Projects and tasks based on simulated scenarios
  • Observations through role plays or demonstrations

Learners receive access to all required learning materials, including guides, workbooks, and other resources, either in hard copy or via the online portal.

Training is delivered in two key ways:

1. Live Sessions
Conducted by a qualified trainer, these sessions include:

  • Discussion of relevant theories and concepts
  • Practical skills demonstrations and practice sessions
  • Guidance on completing assessments

2. Online/Distance Learning
Supported via AITT's online portal, with access to live and pre-recorded webinars, instructional videos, group discussions, and online activities.

All participants receive unlimited support until completion.

Course Resources

To complete the course, students must have access to:

  • A computer with reliable internet access (minimum speed 5 Mbps)
  • Google Chrome browser (recommended)
  • MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, or equivalent software
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader or equivalent application

Each student will gain access to AITT’s Learning Management System (LMS), which includes:

  • Training plans
  • Learner guides and assessment workbooks
  • Templates for projects and assessments
  • Schedules for face-to-face sessions
  • Additional learning resources and handouts

AITT provides access to:

  • Learner guides and assessment workbooks
  • WHS templates and risk management resources
  • Relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
  • Workplace policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Computers and software for use during training activities

Cost & Payment

The total cost of this qualification is $3,200. Flexible payment plans are available:

  • Option 1: 3-month plan – $500 deposit + 3 monthly payments of $900
  • Option 2: 6-month plan – $500 deposit + 6 monthly payments of $450
  • Option 3: 12-month plan – $500 deposit + 12 monthly payments of $225

No additional fees or charges apply. Custom payment plans are available. Please note that AITT will not accept more than $1,500 in a single payment.

Course Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 12 months, though the duration may vary depending on the learner’s prior knowledge and experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

AITT's RPL policy recognises an individual’s prior learning gained through formal and informal training, work experience, or life experiences. This recognition can help students progress faster or receive full credit for certain competencies.

Interested students can request an RPL assessment, which may include a self-assessment or interview to determine eligibility.

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that students:

  • Hold adult level qualifications (typically at AQF level 3 or higher)
  • Have suitable work experience (typically at least 3 years or more)
  • Be able to justify the need to obtain this qualification

Students must also:

  • Obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Provide valid photo identification
  • Undergo a competency assessment or RPL eligibility assessment prior to enrolment

Pre-Enrolment Assessment

Before starting the course, students may need to complete a pre-enrolment assessment. This process helps determine:

  • If the student meets LLN requirements or requires additional support
  • If the student meets the prerequisite course requirements
  • RPL eligibility
  • The most suitable course pathway

The pre-enrolment assessment includes an initial interview, LLN evaluation, and competency assessment.
